Fast Chrome Screen Capture: privacy notice
Last updated: 31 October 2026
This notice covers the Fast Chrome Screen Capture Chrome extension. It adds detail to our common privacy policy, which explains who we are, legal bases, retention and your rights.
Stored on your device
- Your settings, keyboard shortcut choices and plan status are kept in Chrome storage on your device.
- Recent captures are kept in a local history on your device. You can clear it at any time in History.
- Screenshots go to your clipboard. They are saved as files only when you click Save.
How features process your content
- Text recognition (copy text, translate, hide private info) runs on your computer with a built-in recognition engine. The first time you use a language, the extension downloads that language’s recognition data file from the jsDelivr CDN. No image or text is sent.
- Translation uses Chrome’s built-in on-device translator (Chrome 138+). Nothing is uploaded.
- Hide private info looks for emails, phone numbers, card numbers, IBANs and API keys inside the capture on your device, and pixelates them there.

The extension sends anonymous usage events (installs, features used, errors, version, a random installation ID) to Google Analytics 4. These events never include your content.
Third parties
jsDelivr (recognition language files), ExtensionPay, Stripe, Google Analytics 4, Google Forms (optional uninstall feedback).
