1. Controller
Andriichuk OÜ, registry code 17510708, Sepapaja tn 6, 15551 Tallinn, Estonia, is responsible for the personal data described here. Contact: viktor@andriichuk.com.
This policy applies to all Chrome extensions sold as “Chrome Extensions by Andriichuk”. Each extension has a short notice that lists its exact permissions and data:
2. What stays on your device
Screenshots, recognised text, translations, notes, citations, history and settings are stored in your browser’s own storage on your device. We do not receive this content. If you turn on optional sync in Quick Chrome Notes, Chrome’s built-in sync stores your notes in your Google account; we still cannot read them.
3. What we process
| Data | Why | Legal basis (GDPR) |
|---|---|---|
| Email address and Pro status, when you buy or restore Pro | To deliver Pro, restore it on your devices and manage your subscription | Contract, Art. 6(1)(b) |
| Payment details (card, billing country) | Processed only by Stripe to take payment; we never see full card numbers | Contract, Art. 6(1)(b) |
| Purchase records (date, plan, amount, country) | Accounting and tax records | Legal obligation, Art. 6(1)(c) |
| Anonymous usage events: install, update, feature used, errors, extension version, a random installation ID | To see which features work and fix bugs. These events contain no screenshots, notes, citations or page content | Legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f) |
| Your emails to us, and optional feedback you submit after uninstalling | To answer you and improve the extensions | Legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f) |
4. Service providers
- ExtensionPay (extensionpay.com): runs checkout, Pro status checks and the subscription portal. Privacy policy.
- Stripe: processes payments. Privacy policy.
- Google: Chrome Web Store distribution, Google Analytics 4 for anonymous usage statistics, Google Forms for optional uninstall feedback, and Chrome sync when you enable it.
- Some features fetch public data from third parties; each extension’s notice lists these. For example, Ama Citation Generator looks up PubMed, CrossRef and Google Books, and Fast Chrome Screen Capture downloads text-recognition language files.
Some providers are in the United States. Transfers rely on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.
5. How long we keep data
- Purchase and accounting records: 7 years, as required by Estonian accounting law.
- Email and Pro status: while your Pro plan is active, and for up to 2 years afterwards so you can restore a purchase.
- Anonymous usage statistics: up to 14 months.
- Support emails: up to 2 years after the conversation ends.
- Content on your device: until you delete it, clear the extension’s data or uninstall the extension.
6. What we never do
- We do not sell or rent personal data.
- We do not use or transfer data for advertising, credit checks or purposes unrelated to the extension’s single purpose.
- We do not read your screenshots, notes, citations or browsing content.
Our use of information follows the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
7. Your rights
You can ask us for access to your data, or to correct, delete, restrict or export it. You can also object to processing based on legitimate interest. Email viktor@andriichuk.com and we reply within one month. You may complain to the Estonian Data Protection Inspectorate (aki.ee) or to the authority in your own country.
8. Children
The extensions are not directed at children under 13 (under 16 in some EU countries). We do not knowingly collect their personal data.
9. Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version. If a change is significant, we will also mention it in the extension’s release notes.
