Quick Chrome Notes: privacy notice
Last updated: 31 October 2026
This notice covers the Quick Chrome Notes Chrome extension. It adds detail to our common privacy policy, which explains who we are, legal bases, retention and your rights.
Stored on your device
- Your notes, page names, theme and plan status are kept in Chrome storage on your device and saved automatically.
- With Pro sync turned on, notes are also stored through Chrome’s built-in sync in your Google account, so they appear on your other devices. We cannot read them. Chrome sync has size limits; if you reach them, sync pauses and your notes stay safe on the device.
How features process your content
- Notes are never sent to our servers. Export creates a .md or .txt file on your computer only when you ask.
Permissions
| Permission | Used for |
|---|---|
| storage | Save your notes and settings, and sync them through Chrome when you enable Pro sync |
| alarms | Refresh Pro status and keep sync running in the background |
| extensionpay.com | Check Pro status and open checkout |
Purchases and statistics
If you buy Pro, ExtensionPay and Stripe process your email and payment details, and the extension checks your Pro status with ExtensionPay. The extension sends anonymous usage events (installs, features used, errors, version, a random installation ID) to Google Analytics 4. These events never include your content.
Third parties
Chrome sync (Google, only if you enable it), ExtensionPay, Stripe, Google Analytics 4, Google Forms (optional uninstall feedback).
